Profanely Happy

Not so much a group; more a state of mind. For those who achieved happiness after discarding the supernatural and for those who never knew any better.

… the happiness of an atheist is neither the vacuous enjoyment of a fool, nor the short-lived pleasure of a rogue. It is rather the expression of a disposition that has ceased to torture itself with foolish fancies, or perplex itself with useless beliefs.
Chapman Cohen

The learn'd is happy nature to explore,
The fool is happy that he knows no more.

It's finally warming up here in Detroit, even though we had a couple of days in the 80s back in March! That was a tease :)

I wish I could say I am 'profanely happy', but life isn't very calm right now. My son just moved out with his GF and my 10 month old granddaughter and my dad is back in the hospital with a staph infection :(

On the plus side, I will be applying for a full time librarian position where I am currently working and hoping, hoping, hoping I get it!

I hope you're doing well, Steph, and glad you're looking forward to summer. What movies do you want to see this summer?

See - if we all did like that cat in the picture -- we would all be happy!

That fireplace does look inviting!

Ah, that fireplace looks so inviting!  Just under 50 degrees here in Detroit, but already feeling chilled to the bone!  lol

Lucky cat! :)
