Hey, what about Thunderclap Newman and Something In The Air, have you heard that?

"Bombing for Peace is like Fucking for Virginity" - What a great slogan! Lol.

Well Jared, I prefer an alternative and in this case I have been looking carefully at my Peas and Carrots at dinner and quite frankly, I may have seen god. By the way, capitalization isn't necessary but old habits are hard to break, aren't they?

Yeeeah, this "You need an alternative" crap is just that.

Take God for instance. I'm doing just fine without an "alternative".

I'm perhaps even more cynical and pessimistic than you but the principles or dogma that represent what hippies stood for are still the asserted beliefs that guide my existence today. Nothing wrong with pessimism or cynicism but it shouldn't determine your demeanor. I'm always happy, even if I choose to realize that the whole world isn't.

Sometimes I feel I'm a little too cynical and pessimistic to be labeled a hippie.

You don't need to present an alternative to criticize something. It's nice to have an alternative but it isn't a requirement as far as I know? Criticism is free advice.

I do not have the time at the moment to fully elaborate upon this but, I am still confused/unsure of the "good" done by the "hippie movement" in America. I surely do not like the way the government was ran then or now, but you must learn/correct/defeat the current system before you can make a new one. If you criticize something, you need to have an alternative that works even better.

Of course we were right. We were always right. What's more, we were right about EVERYTHING. Look at how many people die yearly from alcohol, the gateway drug. Look at how many die from pot. Look at our perception of food. Our perception of Peace. Our perception of politicians, corporations, EVERYTHING.

We're still right today.

The video of John & Yoko, the link appears below, was just awesome. My girlfriend and I watched it and we were riveted, watching John & Yoko as ambassadors for peace. What a concept. No one in the world could pull that off today. They'd be laughed at and what's more, John & Yoko were laughed at but they persevered.

Here's a direct link to add to the copy & paste link below.
