So...Rumor has it that a lot of us with the ADD tend to like Techno...a lot.

I LOVE techno, Industrial, and New Age music. not that I dislike everything else...
I'm honestly a Metal Head at heart. But Industrial is a close second to my metal habits.

my favorite metal bands are EPIC in sound and power....

To the point....What are your feelings on Techno...slash how do you think your ADD has influenced your like/dislike of music of anykind

Prodigy, Orbital, and Underworld. Don't buy music so much these days, but back then, they were my top three favourites. Had a thing for Everything But the Girl, too. Also used to be a big NIN fan back in highschool.
i loves prodigy.....check out velvet acid christ...or wumpscut theplease me so
I think ADD allows us to enjoy music more deeply than those that don't have it. The pleasure it gives us is more intense so our passion for it is difficult for non-ADD people to relate to.
I know I have a hard time coming up with like a top ten favorite bands...its more like a top 200
and from many different genres of music and the top 35 or so are really tied for number one.

so I most definatly agree
I probably need to be spending more quality time listening to music, instead of just having it on as background when I'm doing something else. I used to spend a lot of time listening to music. Of course, I also had less adult responsibility then.
I have a song in my head at all times, I love music even though I can't play or sing. While I enjoy most music, and can even find some religious songs to be quite pleasing, I absolutely can't stand most metal, techno, industrial type stuff. They're too fast and loud for me. My head doesn't slow down long enough for me to make sense of any of it.
but what DO you like then....if you don't mind me asking?
hehehe, not at all, guess I should've said something about that! I like Nickelback, RemyZero, AC|DC, Dixie Chicks, Nivana, CCR, Cypress Hill, Enya, Collective Soul, Tori Amos, Led Zeppelin, Garth Brooks, Cake, Fleetwood Mac, Red Hot Chili Peppers, NIN, Jethro Tull, Eminem, Bob Marley, The Beatles, The Who, Greydon Square, Alanis Morissette, Willy Nelson, Ludacris, Johnny name a few. I do like a few Korn songs and some old Metallica as well, though I have to be in the right frame of mind to listen to them (usually angry).
HAHHA for the record...NIN is industrial....not to say you'll like it all.....but ....sorry ...I'm a bit picky/obsessive about that sort of thing. but ...yeah Cypress Hill... that band rocks....I also own jagged little I bought a that THAT'S done..

Do you find yourself playing alot of Air guitar....cause I do it CONSTANTLY as there is usually riffs going through my head.....not necessarily songs I know...some songs I write....but I can't PLAY guitar so Its kinda ...lose lose...
lol, fine, you got me, I guess I can stand a little industrial then!

I'm no good at air guitar, I'm an air drummer. Everyone in my family can play some kind of instrument but me. My sister taught me to play a little Hendrix on her guitar one time. She said I held it backwards...can't remember it now of course. O wait, I did learn part of Chariots of Fire on the piano from my dad when I was a kid and can still do that....damn, now I'm gonna have that in my head all night!

? Did I say something stupid ?
