Kiwi living in Catlettsburg, Boyd County, here. Homeschooling my son and feeling as if I am the only atheist for a good hour's drive! Hubby and son are atheist too, but we are the only ones as far as we know. We are also the only homeschooling family within a 45-minute, as far as I know - the KDE won't say either way. Hoping to find other like-minded people nearby.

K.h. ky, if you're in Ohio County, Ky the Owensboro Humanists are right next door.

Crazy fundies abound. Having their pro - life rallies and easter parades on the sidewalk on main street. All ten of them.

I'm right next to Cincinnati so really either side of the river will do.

Ky may have one atheist per county in the counties without cities. Which is the majority of them. I'm the atheist in Ohio county. I've yet to meet another. I had my doubts there were any others in the state till I came upon this group.

Anyone in Northern Kentucky? Really looking for a group that meets to discuss.

Are there any other atheist families in, or around, Danville? My wife and I are going nuts here without friends in the area. I work in Cybersecurity and she's a stay at home mom. We have a little girl and a boy on the way. Would be nice to have some other friends to hang out with from time to time without being asked what church we belong to.

Thanks Eric, I appreciate it, I don't drink however, but I will let you buy me a soda. Unfortunately I have not had the chance to get out much and explore, but Louisville is only 30 or so miles, so I need to put that on my list of things to do....

BC you are definitely in trouble. You'll be limited to activities in Lex or Louisville at the very least. There are good music venues in those cities but everywhere else will definitely be full of the religious. My wife and I have been here 2 years and haven't found any rational friends. It's tough. But if you're ever in Danville I'll buy you a beer.
