Hello Ernie. Couldn’t find your profile on KY Atheists. My Sister-in-Law is a Moron. I can’t beleiev ANY woman with any self respect would consider a religion that subjugates women to such a dergree. Tell her to take off the magic underware and experience the intellectual and spiritual freedom :-).

Unfortunately most of the colleges around here are baptist connected. Education doesn’t make you smart. Having lived in NJ all my young life, I sometimes yearn for a more accepting view of atheism. Around here you are considered a minion of the devil if you don’t believe. I wish you luck. Stick to your guns and don’t be shy about your atheism here either. Shove it down their throats as they try to shove jebus down ours.

College educated and liberal? Stay the hell away from Somerset, haha.

Hey all... I'm new to this website, and looking for some help. I am considering a move to Louisville, with my wife and 2 daughters (12 & 10). We are atheists, and are not shy about it. We have lived in MI (Detroit area) and for the past 2 years in NJ (suburb of NYC). I am just wondering if there is a chance in hell (lol) of us being treated as human if we move to KY. Mainly, I'm afraid for my daughters not being accepted or worse, being bullied. I would appreciate any of your thoughts/comments about my concerns. Also, if you know of any good cities to live in near Louisville, I would appreciate that as well. By good, I guess I mean college educated and liberal.

asking anyone of the 'xtian' mind to think about anything else other than their same old beliefs is pretty much like asking them to perform a circumcision on themselves with a rusty pair of garden shears.

Here in this area there is no 'assuming' you conform to it, it's expected you conform to it - if you don't conform you they completely banish you....which was A-okay in my book!

Yeah, “conform to their insanity”. That about sums it up :-). I’m in Campbellsville, a stones throw from you. A friend of mine lives in Somerset and she’s of the xtian mind. I’m working overtime trying to get her to think for herself. You’d think I was trying to kill her first born.

There are a lot of us around somerset, we just tend to be less verbal about it. Everyone seems to just assume that we conform to their insanity.

Welcome John. Nice to know that there are more and more free thinkers in such a backward state
