Excellent illustration, Ruth, of the all-too-common false equivalence assigned to an opposing opinion! (At Fox News there was a memo from upper management to never mention climate change without also mentioning that it's "disputed".)

The speculative opposing view gets more apparent weight if propounded by a person in a business suit, or a clerical collar.

On a lighter note, a collection of "best news bloopers" of 2013. I especially like how the weathercaster coped when the camera suddenly tilted down off the map, to focus on the floor and her shoes.
