Toby has good teachers. He needs to have the shit beat out of him and loose girlfriends before he's able to play the blues.

To me his music doesn't have emotion behind it.

You're right, Spud, it is a sad song, especially the lines

For in our hearts our dreams are still the same.

The song is almost magical, because it somehow made me feel way back in 1968 a lot how I feel now.

It's been some time since I discovered the work of Pat Metheny's former keyboard man, Lyle Mays.  His chops on the 88s have enlivened my stereo listening sessions for a while, so I thought it was about time I shared some of his pieces with you.

G. Cat, thanks for that song, From Gods Perspective.  A great song, and his voice is so much clearer than most singers.
