You guys are overwhelming me! I'm a big "old school" jazz buff and could spend hours chatting about it. Simply dropping names here doesn't do the subject justice. I mean, for example, I just read a whole BOOK about Louis Armstrong--in the 1930s ONLY! It sure would be fun to have a gathering of jazz fans to listen and talk about the greatest music ever invented (along with classical).

I don't like programed (dance, or club) music - it all sounds the same to me.

Sort of like every commercial you ever heard on TV.

I hope I didn't offend you by thinking of the CeeLo song. It just reminded me of that.

I prefer the fast version of Gnarls Barkeley's fast version of  " Crazy"

Though both are great.

His Slow version follows

Here's the fast tempo that I don't think he likes but I think is better.

Cee Lo Green and Gnarles Barkley are indeed different musicians.

I was thinking of the "Fuck You" song when I referenced CeeLo in a previous post.

Charlie Parker is great. {I saw the movie}.

Miles Davis, and Chet Baker are also a couple of my favorites.

Natasha Atlas the  Belgian has some good music.

Here's her "I 'm a stranger in this world."

Yes, that recording of Dizzy playing Night in Tunisia is just the epitome of cool.  Hard to top that!
