Hello to all fellow New Jerseyans. I live in Spotswood and am proud to be here with all of you guys. Thanks
I am open to persuasion by a well-stated case. But my strength is never to yield to force.
I am proud to be a part of a people who have done much for the good of humanity. Prouder still am I of the fact that I have freed myself from unwarranted belief in a supernatural king of the universe. Indeed, I wonder how such a bright inquisitive people have still not realized that "god" is unnecessary.
Thousands of years ago my ancestors tore up their corner of the world with spear, arrow, and sword, proclaiming, "Believe this or die!" Well, we got our prideful communal ass well and truly kicked in our own turn. But the immoral legacy of coerced conversion was carried forward by the two daughter religions of Judaism even unto these very days of ours.
Funny, it rarely works but on it goes. I am not a Xtian. If you smite me on my left cheek, back off. Cause there's a haymaker soaked in knock-out drops coming straight at you.
I will not bend my knee. As Mahatma Gandhi said, you can kill me. Then, you'll have my big fat ass to bury. NOT my obedience.
<Roooar!> LOL!
OK, I'm up here in the one red county in a blue state. It's filled with people who profess belief in "god" -the Xtian one, naturally- and can't tell you jack-shit about their "beliefs". This devotion to a nebulous idea of an invisible, omniscient god is both wearisome and worrisome.
At a time when observable fact should be governing our decisions, too many people feel that simple submission to "god's will" is ALL that is needed to improve the quality of life for everyone. Never mind the tens of thousands of "true" Xtian" confessions; it'll all be ironed out once Jews, Muslims, Wiccans, atheists, and all other believers in the treasonous falsehood that "Jesus" is not the be-all and end-all of, you know, EVERYTHING, are extirpated from the midst of the world's only "legitimate rulers".
I'm stuck up here stifling in the arrant ignorance of an antique world view. And without a car as I am, I haven't much chance to meet in person with people like myself. Those who understand that wishin' and a'hopin' is no excuse for complacency and denial of the genuinely observable.
Neeeexxxxt!
Just joined. Am in Sussex County. With the bears. Oh my.
