I just wanted to say hello and that we are here and we do exist! I'm in Brick township, just on the border of Ramtown.
hey everybody, here's a FB page with links to some NJ organizations that meet, https://www.facebook.com/pages/New-Jersey-Atheists/199475453415840?.... you can also find some of them on meetup.com if you search for "atheist". also, if anybody wants to add more links to other organizations, you can.
Your not alone... I'm form in Middlesex County. So there are others out here, are there thet few of us?
Actually, there are quite a few atheists in Monmouth County. I am a member of the Red Bank Humanists, which is comprised of 100% atheists. I think there are about 85 registered members, but we also get a lot of drop-ins to our monthly forums. We have a website that shows our activities at www.redbankhumanists.org. Our next meeting is 7/12. The topic will be "The Status of Aid-in-Dying as a Humanist issue." It costs nothing to come and check us out.
If any of you are on Facebook, search for the closed group for the New Jersey Humanist Network. NJHN is the largest group for nonbelievers in the state, and has chapters in Central NJ, Gloucester County, and Mercer County. Visit NJHN.org to learn more. They'd love to have more chapters.
Anyone who can afford to pay $90 every six months to run a group on Meetup.com can actually "own" 3 groups total in their account. I can help you get started.
Don't forget the Jersey Shore Freethought Society in Toms River, Ocean County. https://sites.google.com/site/jsfreethought/ Greg hosts monthly meetings.
