Have There Always Been Continents?
When I started back to college in 1975, I took some geology courses and learned about plate tectonics. My Dad just could not believe what I was telling him. I was just nonsense as far as he was concerned.
Well, I suppose my great grandchildren will learn things that I can't believe. So the Earth turns and keeps evolving into more full-of-wonder discoveries. Time waits for no one.
Pangea, forming approximately 300 million years ago. It began to break apart around 200 million years ago.
Greg, you already found the article on the dinosaur found in China. Sorry to step on your comment. I googled paleontology and came across this most recent article.
It said 3 even after I had joined so my count was off. Which could be looked at one of 2 ways, I was off by 1 or I was off by an astounding 25%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
