Pediatrician Dr. Robert Hamilton shares a secret of the trade in how to calm a crying baby.
Very far out! I'm going to remember this for when my daughter becomes a mother!
Wow! I wish I had that technique with Cary. He was a colicky baby and no one could calm him. An elderly Swedish woman, a neighbor, held him in an odd way and she could quiet him. She placed his face at the crook of her elbow where he could suck and she held his diaper with feet going out each direction. She bounced his bottom and he sucked at her salty inner elbow. Others of us tried her technique to no avail. She said it was the quality of her sweat.
