Welcome to Parenting Little Heathens

Hi moms and dads. Welcome to the parenting without religion group here at A|N. Please feel free to post an introduction, tell us about yourself or if you'd rather not, just jump right into any discussion.

Before you get started I would like you to be familiar with our Posting Rules and Guidelines. This will help clarify what this group is and what topics are appropriate or inappropriate.

Also, you might be interested in our list of atheist related parenting resources list. This is a work in progress, if you've found something you think is a good fit please post a reply and I'll see about adding it.

If at any time you would like to contact me, the easiest way is to send a private message through my page. However, in order to send any member a PM you must first be their friend.

Thank you for joining the group, I hope you enjoy being here.

That was quick - OK, Soulf2 gets a CD! Just message me where to send it!

And how bout this - I'll send a second copy to someone with older kids (age 8-12) so we can get a big-kid perspective on it too. Thanks!

I could recommend my own CD here - "Songs From the Science Frontier" but I realize my opinion of it may be a bit biased. How 'bout I send a copy to the first person who asks, in return for which, you can recommend it to the group if you like it? (I aimed it at kids age 8 and up, though others have told me their 4 - 7 year olds love it too.)

Science and math songs and videos for kids. This looks pretty cool, a bit goofy, but cool for kids.

Looks interesting, I might download it (link http://bit.ly/gQ5U6E) Too bad for the kids that the only mac in the house is my computer and I'm selfish ;)

Wes, this is a bit off topic, but you mentioned wanting to get your girls more interested in science. You might want to check out my CD, Songs From The Science Frontier. The songs are inspired by actual scientific research, and there's a strong balance between guy scientists and girl scientists. It's aimed at kids age 8 and up, but I've had people telling me their age 3 and up kids love it too. Here's a link:
