From Phoenix NewTimes blog:

Godless Atheists, Agnostics and Humanists Invade Tempe, Sponsor Godless Billboard

"Here's something guaranteed to tick off the faithful, or at least give them something to pray about: a group of atheists, agnostics and humanists are set to convene in Tempe this week, and they're bringing their godless message to a highway near you. You know, in a spot where hopefully your impressionable tykes will get to read it.

The group is the American Humanist Association, which will be having its 68th Annual Conference at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel, June 5-8, where I'm guessing they will not be kicking things off with an invocation, the Eucharist, or ye ol' fire and snake dance."

..."they're gonna have at least one billboard up in the Valley with the verbiage, "Don't believe in god? You are not alone." It's a message the humanists have peddled in Denver, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Moscow, Idaho, of all places. Some organization called the Arizona Coalition of Reason is co-sponsoring the billboard."

Here's a person who makes great short videos challenging Christians, and at times other faiths, to think. He's known as AzSuperman01 (Shawn). Here's his channel on YouTube:

He has a series now called "Wacky Bible Stories." You'll find these funny and absurd but right there in the bible! You can also view his series' "Tough Questions for Christians", and "Poor Apologetics." And you can get to his website "" from there.

Perhaps I'll drop him a line to join us.

Lived in Camp Verde for several years and now live seasonally in Page/Lake Powell. So I'm not overly close to Phoenix, but I end up going to/through there a lot and this looks like the only AZ group. And AZ does need more groups like this!

Well, since Janet is leaving, what do you all think will happen?
