And the Roman Catholic Church unbelievably continues to claim moral authority, with some officials framing the ongoing sexual abuse as an aberration caused by gay men infiltrating the priesthood!

(As if homosexuality had anything to do with pedophilia, and as if the routine and ongoing covering up of abuse didn't happen!)

I'll certainly have respect for those Catholics who don't want to totally break from the church, but refuse business as usual by boycotting the collection plate, refusing all money for collections, pledges, etc. (however it works) -- until the leadership takes genuine responsibility.
