Politics, Economics, and Religion

Religion has so many connections to political and economic beliefs, there needs to be a place to identify linkages, problems, goals, options, action plans and evaluation criteria.

What is the purpose of life?

An eternal question, what is the purpose of life?, occupied philosophers’ thoughts throughout history. Stone pictographs reveal even primitive peoples reflected on this query. Each one has the capacity to define his or her personal thinking about politics, economics and religion.

Trump Administration Creates New Religious Freedom Gestapo

  • Religious Freedom Gestapo: The Trump administration has created a new office of religious freedom to protect conservative Christian bigots.
  • Earlier today the Trump administration announced a new unit of the federal government: the conscience and religious freedom division of the office for civil rights at the Department of Health and Human Services.
  • According to reports, the new division within the Department of Health and Human Services will be devoted to “conscience and religious freedom.”
  • Translation: the new Religious Freedom Gestapo will protect conservative Christians in the medical profession who refuse to do their job for religious reasons. The new office will protect those who choose to discriminate against women, LGBT people, and any others who offend their religious sensibilities.

I’ve been corrected.

My life’s purpose is to provide for my testosterone and obey its commands.

"Garbage in gospel out." I am going to remember that one.

My vote goes to Jotham. My life has the purpose(s) I give it.

Thomas, we who wrote computer code checked what our code produced. We knew GIGO also meant garbage in gospel out.

Joan, way back before my now-70-plus kid sister married, she met a boy who lacked thermoception. He told her he might freeze and not know it.

Beware what “heroes” don’t say:

“...and lessen the suffering of others, providing I do not increase my own suffering.”

Both Winfrey and Tyson are entertainers.

Chris, I agree, "The purpose of life is to live it."

Most humans arrive on this planet with "nine human senses: vision (sight), audition (hearing), gustation (taste), olfaction (smell), tactician (touch), thermoception (heat, cold), nociception (pain), equilibrioception (balance, gravity), proprioception (body awareness).

~ Sense, Wikipedia contributors edited, Date of last revision: 15 January 2018

Loaded with all this sensory equipment and a whole lot more tools of perception, each one has the responsibility to develop his and her unique qualities to the best of his and her ability. Each individual, created differently from evolved gene pools of evolution, exists a scion of thousands of generation that came before and who fed into the individual qualities

In your words, "The purpose of life is to live it."

In my words, "I am created to participate in life using all my faculties to the best of my ability.

Looking up "sense," I discovered many other ways that I sense. Oh! Boy! I have a new project.

What is the purpose of life?

There's no "purpose" of life. It just is. You can give your life purpose, but life itself has no purpose.
