Politics, Economics, and Religion

Religion has so many connections to political and economic beliefs, there needs to be a place to identify linkages, problems, goals, options, action plans and evaluation criteria.

What is the purpose of life?

An eternal question, what is the purpose of life?, occupied philosophers’ thoughts throughout history. Stone pictographs reveal even primitive peoples reflected on this query. Each one has the capacity to define his or her personal thinking about politics, economics and religion.

Will the next generation rewin only lost freedoms or will they win some new freedoms?

A friend recently wrote me a thought-provoking discussion: ”Decades ago I read that each generation has to win its freedoms. May I, without being charged with donning rose-tinted glasses, ask if America’s next generation will rewin only lost…Continue

The U.S. accepted Laotians who didn't have a  written language into the U.S. because they helped during the Vietnam war. There was a lot of resistance about that.

Afghanis and Iraquis who were interperters during the recent stupid wars should be given visas as they were promised.

The most appropriate answer in the "What is God" from the

Oprah's favorite Question - How do you define God?

is from Caroline Myss (I have no idea who Caroline Myss is)

Caroline Myss says God bends the "laws for you" Does she mean she can do what ever she wants and still attain her fantacy of going to heaven?

Apparently Oprah's favorite question How do you define God was on a SuperSoul Sunday program she hosted.

Nice, GC.

I heard that Kelly gave thought to Trump’s tweeting and lying but decided that limiting either would endanger the President’s sanity.

President Donald J. Trump Official Government Shutdown Briefing as prepared by John Kelly / You are still expected to be in the Oval Office at 11am and put in a solid two hours of work. / The military will still be able to protect America from its enemies, including sharks. / Some cutbacks will be required. For example, tie length will be reduced to “normal.” / Your Diet Coke button will cease to function at midnight EST. Theoretically, you would still be able to get a Diet Coke via “standing” and “walking.” / National parks will close (“parks” are like golf courses where you don’t play golf). / To repeat: Sharks will NOT be able to hurt you during the shutdown. / Robert Mueller’s investigation will continue to operate and haunt your every waking moment. / [The Daily Show with Trevor Noah](via Twitter; click to embiggen)

Not that I've heard.

Many are illegally crossing the border now since whatisface got elected, & room is being found for them. Its getting more difficult all the time to find space & care for everyone.

Many are still arriving from Syria & elsewhere too. I don't know why we're expected to save the world.

Canada accepted many Americans who didn’t want to be drafted to fight in the Vietnam Nam War

I heard that Canada later regretted doing so and now rejects many immigrants from America. Is it true?
