What is the purpose of life?

An eternal question, what is the purpose of life?, occupied philosophers’ thoughts throughout history. Stone pictographs reveal even primitive peoples reflected on this query. Each one has the capacity to define his or her personal thinking about politics, economics and religion.

"I don't care; I believe Putin."

This is how President Trump responded to a intelligence briefing involving ballistic missile activity in North Korea in 2017, as reported by former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.  Please pardon me if I find that just a tiddle bit DISTURBING...

WOW! Grinning Cat, that is exactly what all this fuss is about, the wall, distraction!

As to Pelosi's gift, one of the candies needs a big "NO" on it.

Man in suit angrily preaching to blue-collar guy, who looks unimpressed: “The Democrats are going to take us down the evil road to *SOCIALISM!!!* They want COLLEGE EDUCATION and MEDICAL CARE FOR ALL!!... They want to raise the minimum wage, care for the environment, raise taxes on the rich and cut them for the middle class!” “Actually, that sounds pretty reasonable...” Suit guy turns the other’s head and points behind him, “*LOOK! CRIMINAL ALIENS ARE INVADING OUR COUNTRY!! BUILD THE WALL!*”

In time for Valentine's Day tomorrow, a commentary on the budget compromise intended to avert another shutdown: Donald Trump opening a box of candy hearts, an aide telling him, “They’re from Nancy Pelosi...” He angrily sees that the hearts say “No”, “Zero”, “Nada”, “No wall”, “No way”, “Kiss off”, “Drop dead”, “Screw U”, “Beg”, and “Fuggedaboutit”.

Stacey Abrams made a reasonable response to the SOTU, but you can't really rebut all that BS in five minutes.  I also managed to catch Trump's crowing about more employed women and more women in Congress, but when such a statement comes from "grab-em-by-the-****" Trump, it sounds more than a little disingenuous.

Bertold, I like the statement, "Doubling down on hate-disguised-as-concern." That is what he does!
