Politics, Economics, and Religion

Religion has so many connections to political and economic beliefs, there needs to be a place to identify linkages, problems, goals, options, action plans and evaluation criteria.

What is the purpose of life?

An eternal question, what is the purpose of life?, occupied philosophers’ thoughts throughout history. Stone pictographs reveal even primitive peoples reflected on this query. Each one has the capacity to define his or her personal thinking about politics, economics and religion.

We need to understand Wall Street did this to the U.S. economy and labor

I agree! 100%!! Wall Street sold-out U.S. labor and sent production of goods to cheap Chinese labor. We don't need to blame anyone but U.S. administrations and Wall Street! What we need to do now is bring production of goods back to the U.S., pay…Continue

Politics, economics, and religion in the age of COVID-19:

(Coronaviruses traveling along a red carpet to “states left open by GOP governors”) “Ooh, a red carpet welcome!..”

PRIORITIES: / Fired at brown people from drones, the AGM-114R laser-guided HELLFIRE II MISSILE can be launched from high altitudes at targets from the side or behind due to its 3-axis inertial measurement unit. It travels at Mach 1.3 with a range of 11 km. The U.S. fires thousands of Hellfires each year. Purpose: killing. Lockheed Martin is building $500 million more of them. Cost: $115,000 / Used by healthcare workers treating patients believed to have COVID-19, the N95 MASK filters airborne particulates. Purpose: saving lives. No one can get any. Cost: 58 cents.

Moses, holding and reviewing the Ten Commandments tablets, to God in the cloud above: “Think we need something in here about preachers ignoring a pandemic and putting lives at risk?” “Nah... nobody’s THAT stupid...”

Sadly, WHO dispenses irresponsible and erroneous information to the public.

Says it all, I think.

DeWine finds himself in the "close-but-no-cheroot" category, as he shut down the state, but allowed churches to remain open.  STUPID!!!

What a contrast between the religious groups in Australia, India, the US, and other places insisting that their rituals are magically immune to disease (so go ahead, come to church, share a communion chalice and spoon, or gather in huge groups to be protected with cow urine, or whatever) -- and true leaders like governors Andrew Cuomo, Gavin Newsom, and Jay Inslee.

Back to your not-so-regularly-scheduled political cartoons:

'Our troops reporting to the front lines!' EMTs, doctors, nurses, and a cleaning crew member, in masks and protective gear, going to the hospital and health center ('OPEN'). Looking on from windows, a white-haired older woman waving an American flag, a man at his laptop, giving a thumbs-up, and a boy waving and saying 'Come home safe, Mom!'

(An exaggeratedly rotund Donald Trump, with trademark long tie, tiny hands, and iPhone) Tested negative for → [checklist, every item checked] coronavirus, empathy, leadership, intelligence, real hair, truthfulness, morality, ability to speak/read, natural pigment, honesty, adult hands, integrity

Couple inside a cylindrical toilet paper fort: “Let’s see coronavirus get past this!!”

How to avoid contact with coronavirus stupidity: (woman telling man, both on a couch) “Wash your hands often and don’t touch your Facebook...”
