There are two types of companies: those who have been hacked, and those who don’t yet know they have been hacked.

If a conservative is a liberal who's been mugged, a liberal is someone who's been mugged by a corporation.

Thomas, I read somewhere that Dr. Seuss intended "The Lorax" to be political.  At the least, he had some good things to say.

Love the quotations, Thomas M, Thomas B, Joan, BB, and Loren!

"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own, and you know what you know. And you are the guy who'll decide where to go."

and

"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better.  It's not."

- Dr. Seuss

Truth is the daughter of time, and I feel no shame in being her midwife.

The greatest enemy of the truth is very often not the lie, deliberate, continued and dishonest -- but the myth -- present, persuasive, and unrealistic.

“But now," says the Once-ler, "now that you're here, the word of the Lorax seems perfectly clear. UNLESS someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not.”

Daniel,

Dr. Seuss was my first philosopher. I remember clearly reading for the first time , " The Lorax". Afterwards I hated industrialists and became aware, for the first time, about my future Earth.

On a lighter note,

“I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!”

― Dr. Seuss
