Joan, Not sure what you're referring to. Pronouns are a very complicated and fundamental aspect of a language that tell a lot about you; see http://www.secretlifeofpronouns.com/book.php . Some languages have both formal and familiar versions of you. Others have different forms of we/us/our, depending on whether the we includes the addressee or not ('I and other people, but not you'). These pronoun liberals have too much time on their hands and no idea what they're talking about.
