School disciplines first-grader for ‘misgendering’ a gender-confuse...

Kindergarten celebrates 5-year-old transgender ‘transition;’ kids t...

A kindergarten five-year old boy became a girl. The teacher taught the children that the boy was now a girl and read them books that were age-appropriate for that age. There was a ceremony in which the boy turned into a girl.

Most students seemed to accept the change and one little girl, by accident, called her by his boy's name while playing.

Some of the children were troubled by the gender change and a girl expressed fear to her parents that she was afraid they would turn her into a boy. Other girls and parents became upset and angry.

The upset parents learned of the sex change from their upset

These angry parents challenged the teacher, principal, and school board.

"District Superintendent Robin Stout told Fox40News that parents were not notified because kids can’t opt out of gender identity and expression lessons."

"According to that (school board) presentation, since January 2016, state law allows parents to only opt their children  out of sex education.

“Diversity and tolerance curricula are not ‘sex education,’” it emphasized."

“California law explicitly provides that ‘instruction or materials that discuss gender, sexual orientation, or family life and do not discuss human reproductive organs and their functions’ are not subject to the parental notice and opt-out laws.’”

Moreover, a student has the “right to self-identify” and “a right to the use of his or her preferred pronoun at school and in class.”

Well, this conflict reflects the confusion about "gender" and "sex".

If I were the teacher of a transgender child, I would arrange a meeting of myself, principal, school board, and all the parents. I would prepare a presentation on gender diversity and need for tolerance, even in the face of strong objections from the parents. I would also have an attorney at the meeting and the doctor. There would be time for open discussion, not to punish anyone or to ignore the situation, but to educate all parties about the gender change.

Then, I would present the gender change information and celebration to the children. If parents were opposed to their children receiving the information, they would have to deal with the conflict through the court.

Remember, "since January 2016, state law allows parents to only opt their children out of sex education."

I have had my say! What say you!?

Research suggests that even atheists associate atheists with immorality twice as much as with believers.

Global evidence of extreme intuitive moral prejudice against atheists

Consistent with cultural evolutionary theories of religion and morality, people in most—but not all— of these countries viewed extreme moral violations as representative of atheists. Notably, anti-atheist prejudice was even evident among atheist participants around the world. The results contrast with recent polls that do not find self-reported moral prejudice against atheists in highly secular countries15 , and imply that the recent rise in secularism in Western countries has not overwritten intuitive anti-atheist prejudice. Entrenched moral suspicion of atheists suggests that religion’s powerful influence on moral judgements persists, even among non-believers in secular societies.

Johnny Depp to burn in hell:

It seems singing a blasphemous song about jebus will get you straight into hell.

Johnny Depp's band is releasing a song called the jesus stag night club and while I am not really a follower of Johnny, his movies or his music, I find this article interesting in the fact that the spokesman for the christian coalition says that Johnny will 'burn in hell' for the song.

Why is it that loving, open hearted christians want every one to burn in hell? and this quote is always the first to pop out of their mouths?

Torture, pain and suffering are the most desired outcome for anyone who defies this very loving god. I do not think that I will ever understand this concept, should they at least try to convert us first or really is it easier to send us to hell?

I guess people do not realise just how vicious they really are....
