How I miss being a theist!!!! I miss how I followed after pasta' and did everything he told me to do. Maybe I should go back and experience the guilt and shame tactics for money.

She hast been here in a while. I'm starting to wonder if she went back to christianity. She had a lot of pressure on her.

They simply look at you like, "aw poor baby, you don't believe in God, he still loves you" that patronizing retort blows my mind.

Thanks for the invite.

I hate that attitude too. What I hate even MORE is when they start that "you don't understand the peace God can give".

Freaking yes I do! Many years ago I was a religious fanatic with eyes closed - arms waving in euphoric rapture - speaking in tongues - dopamine download in full swing.

On my dying day, I will be thinking about how greatful I am that I managed to escape my religious shackles and live an interesting real life. And I won't be thanking God for it - I'll just be thankful (period) feels just as good. .

I think the only thing that irks me, is the assertion most Christians have on their belief. They simply look at you like, "aw poor baby, you don't believe in God, he still loves you" that patronizing retort blows my mind.

Truly we all have stories of bitterness that we feel behind what religion has done to us and our families. I too have been divorced. I married someone I had no business dealing with, because it "better to marry than to burn (with passion)" . I look at my mom who has accomplished nothing in her life because she is waiting for the great by and by. Working for the after life instead of enjoying this one. Terrible shame.
I too hated people because I thought that's what god wanted. I no longer hate anyone for who and what they are. I use reason over emotion and today I have the best life imaginable. I've been religion free for about 5 yrs now and loving it. I'm glad for all of us and the work we have done to overcome delusion.
