I posted the trailer to An Idiot Abroad (above in "Various Ricky Things"). Check it out, it looks hilarious!

I agree, Greg. It is subtle and they aren't beating you over the head with anything (I don't think) - it feels more like a parable to me. I really, really, loved the movie.

By now, I guess most Ricky fans have seen "The Invention of Lying". If you haven't, go! The rumors are true, but it's not what you might think. It's subtle and gentle, but oh so true. Try to get your theist friends (if you have any) to go, but don't tell them the "real" message. Let them experience it for themselves.

The Gervais project, The Invention of Lying, hits US theaters on October 2! I have heard a few rumors that it is pretty anti-religious, but I'm not sure how true they are yet.

There is a special night of viewing coming up for our British members (...are there any?). Gervais and Stephen Merchant have put together A Night at The Office, showing all of Season 1 of the series along with interviews and other new content involving the cast. It's airing on August 30 on BBC2, but they said it will also be online.

Promos here and here (the second one won't play in the US).
