Sex for fun and non-procreation!

In this world, we can't get away from religion. We've been exposed to false information regarding contraception failure rates and experienced the STD scare tactics. Some of us may even have gone through abstinence-only sex education!

Here in Secular Sexuality we will discuss:

-sexual health in light of peer-reviewed science
-safe for work guides on safe(r) sex (or links)
-questions that would shock the religious

No worries.  I can understand the confusion, entering into a conversation midstream, in which the bulk of the conversation is missing.  You could try to recreate the conversation within the discussion thread by reading the individual messages in your e-mail notices, but that would be a freaking nightmare.  I wouldn't bother.

My comment was strictly in defense of myself and my interpretation of TNT's comment.  I never read the article.  When I clicked on the link to the discussion it was already deleted.  So I never bothered.

The articles that "Juan Pablo" posted were in support of adults having sex with pre-pubescent children. He also claimed I was harming children by defending children from sex with adults.

The article in question wasn't speaking about sex ed, Susan.  It was speaking about sex between adults and children.

Oh and Bethany?  I am an Aromantic Asexual, so I have no interest in your son or anybody else.  Since you brought up ASSumptions.

I can't speak for TNT, but I wasn't referring to pedophilia.  Unless you think that sex ed must equal sex.

That's why I was getting picky about terminology, yes.

JP 'underage' terminology is the problem with such articles. Underage generally means 'statutory rape' underage. Setting a particular age is something I profoundly disagree with. There are older people who are unprepared, and younger people who are. Actual age is not even close to being the whole picture. The articles I was able to access were blatantly vague in their age terminology, but it seems they generally used 'boys' which shamefully informs us not of their age or maturity.

Bethany... nice language there, I'm so impressed. I can only assess you by your own attitude, it's what you present to me.

Oh, okay.  I'm good then.
