Sex for fun and non-procreation!

In this world, we can't get away from religion. We've been exposed to false information regarding contraception failure rates and experienced the STD scare tactics. Some of us may even have gone through abstinence-only sex education!

Here in Secular Sexuality we will discuss:

-sexual health in light of peer-reviewed science
-safe for work guides on safe(r) sex (or links)
-questions that would shock the religious

Orgy of freedom...

I'd go.

And yes, I do realize that is a quotation from a movie...

Go figure, nerds are blamed for something they'd be a victim to in the past.  Just imagine what would've happened to Charles Darwin if he'd made the argument about evolution via natural selection in the 15th century.

Sarah Michelle Gellar in Southland Tales:

"We're a bisexual nation, living in denial, all because of a bunch of nerds. A bunch of nerds who got off a boat in the 15th century and decided that sex was something to be ashamed of. All the pilgrims did was ruin the American Indian orgy of freedom."

LoL, what a movie!

@The ]3ig ]3lue Frog: my point exactly. The "semen" allergy implicated in fertility problems is different from the histamine-type semen allergy originally brought up here by Dallas Gaytheist.  The two should not be confused.

Women can be allergic to semen, but the cases I've heard of have involved women who have developed allergies to their husband's semen. Makes having kids kind of challenging.

The immune system can do all sorts of screwed up things, even before you get to actual auto-immune disorders.  There are people who are allergic to their own sweat.

Coincidentally, I recently asked my doctor about this.  The "allergy" referred to regarding fertility is where the woman's body rejects the man's sperm, thereby preventing pregnancy.  It does not refer to a histamine-type allergy with rash, burning, redness, swelling, etc.   I'm pretty sure these are not the same kinds of "allergies."

Women have been know to experience this allergy for years - it is one of the things they test for at Infertility Clinics - this is the first that I have heard of men having this allergy though.

That would suck even worse for a gay guy, too.  Imagine giving a blow job, when you've got that kind of allergy.  For that matter, are women particularly prone to that allergy?
