Unfortunately I am leaving the area for a seasonal position working for the Maine Appalachian Trail Club [see http://www.matc.org/Caretaker/gulfhag.htm ], so I won't be able to attend meetings for the next 6 or so months. I hope that when I return to Burlington the group will still be active.
I suspect something will be going on when you get back. Hope you enjoy yourself in Maine! If you have the opportunity, Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge is a lovely place to visit. Probably not as taxing a hike for you, but it's interesting to see salt marshes and estuaries. I grew up inland, so I'm still fascinated with anything oceanic.
Mr. Deity started a group on Atheist Nexus for his show.
A big list of skeptical resources is posted in the Atheist Nexus group No Nonsense in the group info. section.
No Nonsense: The group's self-description: "Anti-pseudoscience, anti-woo, pro science, pro critical thinking, no conspiracy theories, no spin. Count the logical fallacies. No Nonsense!" There's a great list of skeptical resources in the No Nonsense information section. A Visual Study Guide To Cognitive Biases. <---New, and highly recommended.
