Dean, I don't know how big it will turn out - that all depends on all of us - but I've advertised across the state in as many as places as I can find.  I've mentioned it on FSM's FB page and on the discussion board of your Meetup group, so it would be great if you could put it on the calendar.  Thanks!

Sorry it took me so long, but here's the link for the zoo meet-up:

It will be Sunday, 4/10/11, at the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia and we will meet for lunch at 11am at the public picnic shelters.

How big is this? Would it be okay to invite the Freethought Society of the Midlands (FSM)? We're already in Columbia.

But.... if we meet that early when will we have time for a group prayer?

Not just yet, but I'll have something up by the end of the day!  I'll update here when it's ready.  Oh, and the meetup spot has been determined.  We'll meet for lunch at th picnic area by the parking lot.

@Amy- Do you have a link where I can find information on this meeting. I'd love to bring the family out! :)

Yes, 4/10/11.  The meetup itself will be at 11am, though people can arrive as early as 9am.  I thought it would probably be too difficult to stay together during the entire trip, so lunch at 11am is the only "scheduled" meetup time, though everyone is welcome to be together before and after lunch, of course.

Some Secular Humanist of the Lowcountry families in Charleston are planning a trip to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia on Sunday, 4/10.  It would be great to meet some other South Carolina Humanist families, so we're advertising it to groups across the state.  The zoo opens at 9am and we'll meet for lunch at 11am.  We haven't picked a spot yet, but will post when we do or you can email me.  Suggestions are welcome.
