Drinking Skeptically Pittsburgh's 2nd Monthly Happy Hour this Friday!

December Drinking Skeptically!

What: Drinking Skeptically Pittsburgh - 9th Monthly Meeting
When: Friday Feb. 20th 7:30pm – 9pm
Where: The Claddagh Irish Pub, South Side Works

Drinking Skeptically is an informal social event designed to promote fellowship and networking among skeptics, critical-thinkers, and like-minded individuals.

Drinking Skeptically provides an opportunity for skeptics to talk, share ideas (and yes, drink) in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. We discuss the issues of the day and whatever else is on our minds. But most of all, we have fun while promoting skepticism, science, and rationality.

More information about Drinking Skeptically can be found here and on the Drinking Skeptically Pittsburgh Facebook group.

AG Jeff Sessions: Religion trumps established law

Without much fanfare late last month, Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued an addendum to the US Attorneys’ Manual: 1-15.000 – Respect for Religious Liberty, which  clearly lacks all respect for the 1st Amendment.  The document, which seems to be flying … Continue reading

Here is a perfect example of how a culture keeps itself ignorant and a threat to the civil liberties of everyone. Students of a northeast Ohio school district (or should I say, their parents and guardians) decried the fact that … Continue reading

Hey, I just moved to Donora near Pittsburgh.  I don't drink, but I'm interested in seeing what's available socially for the skeptically minded.  Thanks.

Hey, everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Josh, and I currently live in Albuquerque, but my wife and I are moving to Pittsburgh sometime in July. I'm really sad to leave my Drinking Skeptically group here in ABQ, but I'm thrilled to join the Pitt DS, as well as all the other skeptical/atheist goings ons in your town. So... yeah. Can't wait to meet you all!

Thanks Laura! I made it. I shrunk it down so the thumbnail wouldn't be cropped in the group search listings, but that makes it pixel-y so I've gotta fix that. But I thought a little black n' gold would be appropriate! :D
