Strong Atheists

A group for those who actively rebel against religious bullshit. Religions harm our society, poison our mind and threaten our mental health. This is an Anti-Religions-Group! No discrimination against a certain group of imbeciles, but all of them

Richard: That is what pisses them off, the actual facts. The fact that if someone thinks that birth defects are caused by god punishing women for abortion, *when in fact birth defects are caused by environmental factors, genetics, ect.* they are insane and the god they worship is very cruel. Same goes for evoultion, gay rights, and even the bible itself which we all know is very flawed and full of contradictions. I even posted a article about the studies done showing prayer doesn't work. We come from the deep south *bible belt of insanity* so just to question it is outright wrong. But I take comfort in the fact that if something as simple as a breakdown of the various ways the bible is interrupted stirs up negative emotions, then maybe a part of them gets that it's not all it's cracked up to be. And may start thinking for themselves. Or atleast stop with that lame April Fool's Day is the Atheist holiday stuff.

Anachro, Hitler was born a Catholic to very strict parents. His father used to beat him regularly.

He mentions God many times in his speeches, but he had his own idea about fate and destiny. Without this weird egotistical belief (that he was fulfilling destiny) the invasion of Poland and Russia might not have happened.

Another case where religion screws up everything.

Yes he was An, Catholic. And the Pope used to be part of a Nazi youth group.

I started looking at religion as a type of mask years ago. If the first thing out of their mouth is how much they love Jesus, lookout. Its just so you want see what they really are. Hitler does not have as many murders in his name as in the name of god. How many times to you hear of a child murder by christians who doing gods bidding or terrorist or child molester hiding behind religion. I could go on for a while but you can see why these people scare the hell (LOL) out of me. Oh and I will be celebrating on Sunday. It just happens to be my birthday.

Good for you, Scott. To me violence, or even the threat of violence, ends the discussion.

I always liked the line, "hell is where there is no reason." Violence destroys logical discourse.

Doesn't it perturb you that they acclaim to follow the "Prince of Peace," and yet they're the first to start throwing punches?

Good for you Scott. I don't have the nerve to actually do anything about the idiots with the "Pray to end Abortion" signs outside my work. And I'm REALLY sure I'd get in trouble for it since I work for the municipal government. All I can do is spread the word to others inside and outside City Hall about how stupid it is. Nothing I say to them is going stop them anyway and I think the idiots that actually come out and picket are at least partially looking for attention, so I'd rather not give it to them.

I'm glad you came out of your encounter unscathed. That's exactly the sort of 'group-think' setting where the mob could end up getting out of control and seriously hurting you. I'm glad you plan on being more careful next time. :)

Ravven, I have to disapprove of your “pissing them off.” Just be firm, studious and know what you're talking about. Don't abandon reason because it's our main weapon, no matter how intractable and narrow-minded they are.

I'm reading Dawkins' new book, The Greatest Show on Earth. It's so well presented that it's extremely difficult for anyone to read it and still claim that evolution is just a theory.

It's a fact and as certain as dropping an apple to the ground to prove the Law of Gravity.

He confirms evolution from multiple fronts: the fossil record, embryology, comparative anatomy and the topper, molecular genetics.

If evolution is a fact, then Genesis is nonsense. See what they say to that, okay?

I make a point to spread my evil Atheist agenda on FB everyday. According to my in-laws I have disrespected their family and my husband. He told them they clearly didn't know him because he didn't believe in god and things all that stuff is bullshit and they are all hypocrites. It was AWESOME!! I love pissing them off *they actually have the "a man is nothing without god" viewpoint.* Even though the members in the family without god are doing far better than those "highly favored" folks.
I don't get many comments on FB posts *aside from other Atheist friends* because the few folks who were brave enough to try to "spread the word" and bring me the "truth" stopped when they realized I know their bible, it's history, and the history of their religion better than they do.
But it's still fun to say your god's a d-bag. :)

I just wished I could have spoken to them a little more. They jumped right to violence as soon as they knew I didn't agree with them. Really tolerant huh?
If you ever try to do anything like that cyril, make sure you have an escape. I almost got surrounded by those nuts and they were not looking to talk about anything. They were going to beat me. That was stupid of me to get so close to them by myself, that won't happen again.

Hey Scott, You the man. Keep kicking a__ and taking names. I feel everything you say, I just need some encouragement and courage for that matter to stand with you and take this type of abuse. You and your kind are truly Strong Atheists. There are too few of you people holding the feet of religion to the burning fire of reason. I will strive to make as much of a difference as you have.
