I really messed up my post on here, didn't I? Yes, it's Dr. Darrel Ray (not Ray Darrel) and it's at 1 pm today (which I forgot to mention). Sorry about that! Should have just copied and pasted from my blog I guess.

@One Manic Ninja, he sounds like a nice guy; glad you got the chance to talk to him more. I'm still not "out" as an atheist (for job- and family-related reasons) so I won't get to hang out. I might go up to try to meet him briefly, though, like I did with Dan Barker. Hopefully the folks from the MFA (Memphis Freethought Alliance) are planning something with him afterwards.

For anyone near the Memphis area, thought this could be of interest: Ray Darrel, author of The God Virus, will be speaking tomorrow in the area: Sunday March 7) at Neshoba UU in Cordova, TN (right outside of Memphis). More info here.

I recently moved to west Tennessee, around the Memphis area. I've never seen so many churches in my life, it's crazy.

I thought I'd let you all know that Dan Barker (from FFRF) is coming to Memphis this week: Thursday, Dec. 3 at 7:00 pm at the Rose Theatre. Among other things, he'll be talking about the church-state violations in Memphis. More info here: Please spread the word!
