I recently moved to west Tennessee, around the Memphis area. I've never seen so many churches in my life, it's crazy.

I thought I'd let you all know that Dan Barker (from FFRF) is coming to Memphis this week: Thursday, Dec. 3 at 7:00 pm at the Rose Theatre. Among other things, he'll be talking about the church-state violations in Memphis. More info here: Please spread the word!

So lots of us live within a very close area to one another. At least three within an hour's drive. Interesting.

Johnson City is in a beautiful part of the state. I hope you enjoy it.

I lived in Nashville for the last six years, and I am now in the process of moving east to Johnson City for grad school. No culture shock yet, but I am ready for it if it comes. TN is the best state that I have lived in yet. Hopefully east TN will be just as pleasing.

So Fred, have you suffered from culture shock yet? What part of the great state of TN did you end up in?

Good to see I am not alone. The only other atheist that I know in TN just moved to San Francisco.

Tennessheathens Unite!!!!!!
(For some reason I was just thinking of the movie Red know....Wolverines Unite!!!!!!)
Edit: Maybe no one actually said "unite" in that movie. They may have just yelled: "Wolverines!" My memory tends to fail me sometimes.
