A breakfast of quiche and strawberries with o.j. and coffee. I'm ready to meet the day. More storms forcast. As long as I can get my walk in. Have a good one.

Yes, Friday is here, which means the weekend is not far behind.

What did you buy, Mindy, at Whole Foods?

Hot oatmeal with blueberries this morning. Oh yes, don't forget the coffee! Enjoy your day(s).

Another great day to be alive! Taking the dog for a long walk (6 mi). I love to walk, and so does she.

I'm not all that good at "keeping in touch" with my kids (although I know I'm better than most men). I don't even carry my cell phone with me. Of course, I fought that battle (with myself and my kids) for a long time. Only when one gave me one, did I cave. And my remote came yesterday!

Good morning (or day), coffee lovers (and others). Had to turn on the furnace this morning--in mid July!!

Also had to order a new remote. What a hassle, but the DISH people were friendly (over the phone).

Ah, Mindy. Don'tcha hate when the kiddies grow up? My four are from 30 to 40, and the 39 yr old one just lost her job. It's tough for this parent to take.

Nice, cool morning. Had my coffee and took Molly for a walk. Waiting for the DISH TV man to bring me a new remote. I've missed mine (broken?) the past two evenings. Getting up to change channels is a hassle--but I remember doing it in ages past! Have a great day.

Another week gone by. Enjoyed some French toast this morning accompanied by my favorite "Sunday Baroque" classical music radio program. Indianapolis airs it from 5 to 9 AM, and Lafayette airs it from 10 to 2. I could listen to it for 8 hours if I wanted! However, after awhile, it gets monotonous. Well, enjoy your day.

Weekend countdown (not that it matters to this retired chap)! I tried a new brand of coffee yest. and it's awful--bitter.

I concur with Richard--it's nice to see you here, Joan.

So mindy, there really is a Cheesecake Factory--not the Big Bang Theory one?  Happy for you and your daughter. I remember the days when I sent my kids off to college (IU). Memorable and anxiety filled.

A quick cup of coffee this morning, then I was off to pick blueberries. I ate plenty for my breakfast! Yum yum.
