Maybe it's because of my thin frame that heat doesn't affect me. That, and being cold makes me wish I wasn't! Give me the sun and hot temps any day.

Right now, it's pouring down rain--with thunder and lightning. I bet I've had 3" in the past 12 hours.

Fresh coffee to go with my blueberry added oatmeal this morning. I'm rarin' to go and eager for some really hot weather. It sure beats the cold.

Is it Friday already? Very cool morning (46). I have a sweatshirt on, and it's the middle of August! Hope you all have a good day and weekend.

Good morning coffee lovers and others. Have a good day and a better week. For all you midwesterners, enjoy the cool temperatures.

Another beautiful morning to be alive. Had (and still mildly have) a caffeine addiction headache (in back of the skull). Another cup of joe and it'll disappear. Have a great day.

Good morning! Got my new animal shelter dog. Read about her in "Hang with Friends".

Joan, it's wonderful to read that you eat the same healthy foods I do. I sprinkle groundup flax seeds on everything, ate yogurt on my strawberries this morning, etc.

Yes, it was a record "cold" July in Indiana. No 90s, barely 80s!     Have a great weekend, everybody.

Randy, very good news about Dot. You will soon be having those nice walks with her.

Mindy, have you heard about your tests yet?

Am in the garden, came out about 6 AM, had Dave's Killer bread with huckleberry jam, yogurt, flax seeds and nuts. Gathered a cup of blueberries off the bush; U probably have enough for one more breakfast. The raspberries are almost finished. I will not take a vacation in July next year because I miss out on the full season of raspberries. We are in a terrible heat wave so am watering heavily in the mornings.  Set high heat record on Monday, over 100 degrees. August is always miserably hot.

Fires are contained, thank goodness. We had heavy rains last week that saved many acres and homes. It is such a pretty morning.

Well, Mindy, we both restart our lives, sans Molly. I had a good cry myself. After seeing those dogs at the "pound", my heart went out to them. I signed adoption papers and will pick up "Dot" (short for Dorothy?--which happens to be my mother's name and nickname) tomorrow.
