Joan, it's wonderful to read that you eat the same healthy foods I do. I sprinkle groundup flax seeds on everything, ate yogurt on my strawberries this morning, etc.
Yes, it was a record "cold" July in Indiana. No 90s, barely 80s! Have a great weekend, everybody.
Randy, very good news about Dot. You will soon be having those nice walks with her.
Mindy, have you heard about your tests yet?
Am in the garden, came out about 6 AM, had Dave's Killer bread with huckleberry jam, yogurt, flax seeds and nuts. Gathered a cup of blueberries off the bush; U probably have enough for one more breakfast. The raspberries are almost finished. I will not take a vacation in July next year because I miss out on the full season of raspberries. We are in a terrible heat wave so am watering heavily in the mornings. Set high heat record on Monday, over 100 degrees. August is always miserably hot.
Fires are contained, thank goodness. We had heavy rains last week that saved many acres and homes. It is such a pretty morning.
Well, Mindy, we both restart our lives, sans Molly. I had a good cry myself. After seeing those dogs at the "pound", my heart went out to them. I signed adoption papers and will pick up "Dot" (short for Dorothy?--which happens to be my mother's name and nickname) tomorrow.
Thanks, Steph and Mindy, for your sympathy. I'm still heartbroken over her death. I'm going to go to the animal shelter today to look around. Sorry you have to put your Molly down, Mindy. Probably for the best, but it's never easy.
So sorry to hear about your dog Molly Randall. It is hard when you lose a pet. Sorry to hear about your pet too Mindy.
I'm sad to report that dog Molly was struck and killed by a hit and run vehicle right out in front of my house last evening. I buried her with a sorrowful heart. I am distraught. She was such a good dog, and I'd grown to love her even though I only had her 4 months.
A breakfast of quiche and strawberries with o.j. and coffee. I'm ready to meet the day. More storms forcast. As long as I can get my walk in. Have a good one.
Yes, Friday is here, which means the weekend is not far behind.
What did you buy, Mindy, at Whole Foods?
Hot oatmeal with blueberries this morning. Oh yes, don't forget the coffee! Enjoy your day(s).
Another great day to be alive! Taking the dog for a long walk (6 mi). I love to walk, and so does she.
