Plinius, I've never heard of a Russian bear, but by the wording of your sentence above the photograph, I figured you were referring to uncomfortable weather.  I looked for a bear in the photo, just in case.  Didn't find one, of course.

Only teddybears here. The weather forecasters call the cold wind from the east the Russian bear, but I think the UK has worse winter weather than the Netherlands.

Randall, I looked hard and long for the bear, didn’t find it and quit, then later looked again and finally found it in the clearing on the FAR FAR shore, I think....

Holy smokes, Patricia! I thought we had it bad here!

Chris, is there suppose to be an actual bear in your photo?

We need it every year though, & that doesn't always happen in any amount to do much for soaking the forests. Global warming has changed our pattern. We used to have snow beginning at the end of October lasting until March. That is no longer the case, & we've had a few winters with nothing or very little.

Hope you get all the snow you need, Patricia!

This is still us for March 1st. It is windy & beginning to melt, but this doesn't mean its over by any means. We still have snow in the forecast this weekend.

I tried some Seattle's Best coffee......very good!

Siberian bear here, only a small bear but it's cold.

First day of March. And yes, it comes "in like a lion". Rain and wind here in Indiana today. March is one of my favorite months. Not only is spring right around the corner, but it's the month of birthdays--my father, my son, and me!

It's a good day to have hot oatmeal with an orange on the side. Along with coffee, of course.

I bought a one pound bag of Honduran coffee--beans to be ground. Very strong and, of course, delicious.

Have a good day and a great month.

Coffee has never prevented me from sleeping. In fact, I have a half cup before bedtime. If not, I get a headache.
