In the Navy in 1950 my “buddies” told me to drink it or skip the coffee break.Naive, I believed them but needed four teaspoons of sugar to make it drinkable.Several months ago read of cold-brew in…Continue

This is still us for March 1st. It is windy & beginning to melt, but this doesn't mean its over by any means. We still have snow in the forecast this weekend.

I tried some Seattle's Best coffee......very good!

First day of March. And yes, it comes "in like a lion". Rain and wind here in Indiana today. March is one of my favorite months. Not only is spring right around the corner, but it's the month of birthdays--my father, my son, and me!

It's a good day to have hot oatmeal with an orange on the side. Along with coffee, of course.

I bought a one pound bag of Honduran coffee--beans to be ground. Very strong and, of course, delicious.

Have a good day and a great month.

Coffee has never prevented me from sleeping. In fact, I have a half cup before bedtime. If not, I get a headache.

2 cups is my limit too, Plinius.

I never had trouble to stay awake during working hours, I'm too nervous to relax. At 63 I drink two cups of coffee in the morning, then switch to herb tea or else the caffeine does unpleasant things to my heart rate.

A question for old farts, of 75 or more years.

If coffee (actually the caffeine in it) once kept you awake during working hours, does it now in retirement boost your energy?

Two or three cups kept me awake on boring days. I’m now in my 80s and a morning cup of the stuff gives me a boost I can feel.

At noon I switch to 50% decaf or I’ll be awake all night.

We're in a January thaw that we seem to have developed over the last decade or so. Its nice to have things clearing away enough to use the scooters while its not too cold, but we know winter isn't over by any means.

We had a beautiful snowfall the past two days and expect to see 40°F today.
