I still have my own teeth... what's left of them. A bicycle stand as they call it.

No idea.....I've had dentures since age 18.

It depends, Randall. It may be that the nerve is just dying on its own, then the treatment hardly hurts anymore. You must have very strong teeth that you never had a root canal before!

After nearly 50 mph wind gusts yesterday, it's virtually calm this morning--but cold. I lost a big willow tree limb. I've had the chain saw out cutting wood this past week, so I'll take care of the limb today.

I think I'm getting a cold--scratchy throat--thanks to my youngest grandson who sneezed on me several time 3 days ago. Darn. And just when I have to go in for a root canal tomorrow (Mon). I've postponed the inevitable for 2 months because the pain comes and goes. But now, it's to the unbearable point. It's my first ever root canal, so I don't know what to expect--the worst, I'm sure! At least I still have my own teeth.

Joan, I get catfish nuggets at WinCo and Fred Meyer.  Costco doesn't have them.

I still make smoothies with oatmeal, fruit and nuts, my ideal breakfast. (and there's the fire department racing past for a fire in the harbour once more) Success with the sanctary, Joan!

I love a hot, steaming bowl of oatmeal with raisins or fresh fruit served with it. Cream of Wheat is one of my very favorites, and Roman Meal tantalizes my taste buds. My very favorite breakfast is toast with chunky peanut butter and my homemade concord grape jam.

I spent yesterday finishing making my jam, and it turned out utterly delicious. I used no sugar and did use pectin. Thankfully, I was able to get it to jell. My juice is all canned and ready to go into the pantry. I hope to get to the apples tomorrow to make sliced apples for pies throughout the winter. We still have a few jars of last year's applesauce so I won't make more this year.

Larry and Zac went hunting yesterday for our year's meat supply and came home with only a half-eaten bag of oversweet chocolate covered donuts. It is a wonder they weren't sick today.

I don't eat or cook deer, myself. The fellows like the yearly outing and Laurie likes to cook it. She is the best cook in the family, bar none.

Thanks, Plinius, we take care of our soil, will be having our forest thinned in the spring so that trees will be able to grow healthier and let sunlight penetrate to the ground. We want to enable deer and other wildlife to have a healthy, safe place to graze and nests, and for the migratory birds. Our goal is to have a National Wildlife Federation Sanctuary.

Spud, where do you get catfish nuggets? I don't do the shopping anymore; L&L do all that work. I would like to tell them where to look so they don't have to go on a treasure hunt. We had a lot of catfish when we lived in Texas; I love it.

That's bad news, Joan! I hope you can find ways to stop industry in a residential area, or at least have them take good safety measures. Here the oil industry and other chemical industry is just at the other side of the river, a few kilometres away, and it's a bad feeling. It would be great if you can keep the smelter away!
