I drink 2, 14 oz. cups of coffee, per day, & 2, 8 oz cups of mixed green & black tea per day.

Good article too.

I agree, coffee on an empty stomach is a no go for me either. I like dark strong coffee too, none of the wimpy stuff thanks.

Fasting is another thing not for me either.

Plinius, I received my yearly spring catalog from The Netherlands yesterday. I will have to get some control over the mole and vole population and get ready for the autumn planting time for bulbs.

Randy, I have Type 2 diabetes and I begin to shake and feel dreadful if I fast. I put food into my system several times a day and am able to keep my blood glucose level within normal bounds.

Patricia, I can't "do" coffee on an empty stomach, either, but as soon as I get my two slices of whole-grain bread toasted and buttered, my first taste of coffee is with dunked toast.

I like a robust, dark coffee and I make it in a French press that makes 2 1/2 cups of nice, strong coffee. While L&L are gone, I am using up an opened package of impotent, lightly roasted coffee. One cup for breakfast, a wee bit more for lunch, and the last cup at my evening meal. A lovely way to spend the day's culinary activities.

I'd rather some gloom than downpours, or blizzards.

I'm getting a little weary of this gloomy weather. According to the weatherman, January has been over 80% cloudy--very unusual. No snow to complain about, however.

Hot oatmeal with blueberries (and coffee, natch) has fueled me up this morning. Expecting my riding lawn tractor to be picked up (free) to be serviced. They need to have something to do during the slow winter months.

Hope your day turns out perfect. (perfectly?)

I can't do coffee on an empty stomach.
