Happy Flag Day! I hang mine about 4 times a year, including today.

Just returned from a 6 mile walk (or hike--whatever the difference is). Beautiful, cool day. But we need the rain. I'll be watering my garden this afternoon. Maybe watch a little golf which has returned (sans fans). Good day to relax and appreciate what I have. Have a good one yourself.

Rick is just starting his greenhouse, & will begin the garden after our long weekend.

Just some general "happenings" around here:

First off--Happy Mothers Day for all you mothers out there in A/N land! I wish my mother was still alive.

I "celebrated" the day with a breakfast of waffles (with blueberries), bacon, and coffee. Yum yum.

It's much warmer this morning that yesterday at this time. We had record breaking low temperatures (26) which killed all my tomato plants, despite being covered with coffee cans. Rabbits ate about half my broccoli plants. Not a good omen for a successful garden year.

More bad news as I found a dead male bluebird in the grass. Don't know what caused that. He and his mate have (had?) a brood of little ones in a box nest. Sad.

Other than that, all is well. Hope things are good in your neighborhood.

I posted the photos Joan, & apparently they didn't work.

Of all my recipe books, I could find no sweet potato cake. But, thanks to the good ol' internet, I found many. So, I baked one. Delicious! I'm off my "no sugar" kick, so anything goes!

Hope everyone is doing well.

A "The New 2020 Dodge Corona" T-shirt? I can't even imagine it! Do you have a photo of it?
