The Childless and Godless

The Childless and Godless

This is a group to discuss the joy of being childless! I am amazed at the number of atheists I have met over the past few years that are childless by choice, here is a place to discuss stories and experiences!

Yeah, I am used to being called weird, just not "scary". I decided when I was in high school and pretty much got the same thing. You'll change your mind when you are older. I'm 38 and things still haven't changed.

Loool, cute! I had an encounter with a guy in A|N Chat, was talking about how I don't want kids, and may not ever, and he was like "what? bad childhood?", I =\..Taking care of some kid 24/7 is just not my thing. Or they say, well you're young, you'll probably change your mind...*eyeroll*, I decided this at age 13, it hasn't changed in 8 years..I dunno if it'll ever change lol.

On a cute note my little nephew (7), asked me if I had kids because he wants a little brother or stepbrother. LOL.

Oh, I get the reaction . This are men who WANT those things. Even better. He wanted to know what my experience was that caused me to be like this. Even when I give a disclaimer saying that I am not interested in a relationship they try anyway. Men can be so stupid. Or desperate. I forgot to mention that all of this has been online.

I don't get that reaction either Susan. You'd think they'd be happy to encounter a woman who doesn't wanna perpetuate the vicious cycle of life....Men!

UGH! I keep getting guys wanting to be my "friend" and then when I say that I am not interest in a relationship or kids. They stop talking to me. Just now a guy called me "scary" because I don't want kids.

She's just telling the truth: that pregnancy has an enormous effect on the body. People need to know the facts and not get a sugar-coated rosy picture of pregnancy.

I don't watch the show but, I find it to be the inspiring show out there.

There's always someone waiting in the wings to take over (jillian taking oprah's spot). I'm not sure about jillian being the next oprah, but I do like how she motivates people. I'm inspired by her. She definitely knows more than oprah about nutrition, but needs to be careful not to attack. That can backfire. Yes, i admit it, i do watch the biggest loser. Everyone has their own experiences, and i don't blame jillian for wanting to adopt, but like i said, don't get nasty about it.
