It's an idea I have been hatching for a while - to give people who are close to death a voice because they are the ones who are most likely to have figured out what is truly important in life. Hopefully they can pass some of that wisdom on to the rest of us!

Good question. I guess it's best to let people decide that for themselves instead of trying to come up with some sort of rule.
I have broadened the scope of this group to be generally about death and dying. I think this will be more inclusive. Thanks for getting me thinking about this more, funk_Q. My previous criterion "close to death" was too subjective. In a way, we all are close to death.

I do autopsies for a living, does that count?
