i can officially join this group. One of my friends on myspace died today- committed suicide. I was his last contact in this world... He told me he was doing it... I hate to bring the cheer level down in here, but i really think that maybe there is some wisdom that you could render to me.

Hi Catharine, just checking, how was the news on your husband? Hope all is well.

Hi Catharine and sorry to hear about your husband. I hope that the news from the lab is positive. I know a couple of people who have had melanoma removed, in their case it seemed to be somewhat of a "routine" operation (as much as something like this can be routine). A close friend of mine is successfully battling aggressive cancer (chest, brain) and my mum has made a recovery from breast cancer and lung cancer. A friend of my wife made a complete recovery from non-Hodgkins lymphoma. So, the good news is that cancer is not an automatic death sentence, in many cases it can be successfully treated.

Hope all turns out well Catharine... I know how you are feeling.. my daughter had to hve a biopsy for suspected cervical cancer. waiting for those results wasn't fun, and the few people who did know promised to pray for us... HA! Her results came back not good, but not cancer - yet. No thanks to any prayers... I, too, am grateful my daughter and I have no preconceived notions there will be any "divine intervention".
