ok, it is one hour away. My schedule is pretty busy but maybe someday will meet (I'll stay in VA for 3 more months). I'd like to spend some good quality time with like-minded people before I go to Houston. Ah, I should look for that group too. I came from Chicago recently and I don't know too many people in Richmond.

About 70 miles away, down in Newport News, VA.

Film Screening tonight: INHERIT THE WIND

Tonight at 7pm in Morton 302 at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, the W&M Freethought Alliance will be showing the classic 1960 film Inherit the Wind, which dramatizes the famous Scopes Monkey Trial, in which a schoolteacher was charged with teaching his class about evolution. Our own Justin Clement has done research on the topic and will give a brief lecture and lead discussion. Invite your friends!

Looking forward, this Saturday (April 18th) at 7pm on the Crim Dell Meadow, the W&M Freethought Alliance will be at the Mosaic festival promoting the organization and its place in our diverse campus. Also, on Wednesday, April 29, we'll be working with several organizations on a free interfaith waffle night in Chesapeake B/C in the Sadler Center! If anyone wants to help with either of these events, email

RA: Regarding a showing of "Religulous", you may want to get with CFI in DC. I bet they wouldn't mind hosting this activity.

I have the Bill Maher's "Religulous". I will be showing it around the DC area in the near future. If anyone has an appropriate venue and I don't have to travel too far, I will be glad to play it for others. Just let me know when and where.
