Lady bugs, praying mantis, and dragon flies work diligently in my garden to keep pests down. I have no turtles, but two blocks away from my home is a beautiful garden designed by the Olmsted Brothers, and a pond full of gold fish, turtles, ducks and a few swans.

Steph, when my kids were growing up I tried really hard not to show any fear about spiders and snakes. We even had a pet jumping spider that had us well trained to supply her with food and water.

Now that they are grown and out of the house, I make no effort whatsoever to stop the sweats and shivers I get from these critters. Even as they are beautiful ... in their own ways.
