Information

Working Class Atheists

This group is about the difficulties of being atheist and Working Class. I am defining working class as anyone who works for an hourly wage, does shift work, or works weekends and holidays. They may be employed or currently unemployed. You can be working poor. Your wage can be high or low, but the labor struggles are similar enough to be working class. It can be manual labor, technical work, or service. This is not for the Middle Class, which I define as having more autonomy with their schedule, are salaried, more independent, and do not have the same struggles and concerns as wage laborers. If you are Middle class and you are interested in our struggles, feel free to be a part of the group.

Our struggles are real and are underrepresented in atheist social media, where a large percent are middle class and/or part of the professional classes. We might not be able to debate like some of them, but we know bullshit when we smell it. We shovel it.

Share your struggles and stories here.
