Spud, thanks for  https://duckduckgo.com/. I just tried it with "birds, taxonomy, charts" and a whole different list of resources appeared. I shall add it to my search engine sources.

Patricia, thanks for the details on Claude. I knew nothing of him and so I now understand his motivation. Looks silly to me.

A couple of people say they like https://duckduckgo.com/

I've got it on my bookmarks bar, but have only used it twice, so I can't say how good it is.

Spud, thanks for the comment. It wasn't until this morning that I realize the chart couldn't be enlarged enough to read and I didn't include the address. I had a devil of a time finding it again. Is it not strange how something is interesting, and trying to find it later yields other things, but not the specific thing. Google is good, are there other search engines that are better?

Joan, thanks for the link to bird charts.

Steph, great photos. "Bird watching; your'e doing it wrong" is a metaphor of life. Well, so is "Got ya nose!"

I should have labelled the chart.

"The global diversity of birds in space and time

"Figure 2Diversification across the avian tree."

I used key words: bird, taxonomy, pie chart.

Here is another:

Bird, taxonomy, chart

Steph, your bird watcher doing it wrong made me Laugh-Out-Loud.  Thanks.

I didn't get the Jean Claude reference because I don't know Jean Claude and thought I'd not seen the commercial.  I hate commercials so much that I avoid them like the plague.

However, when I started watching it, I remembered I'd seen part of it.  When I saw what he was doing I just thought "What a moron", and changed channels.

Ruth, "the ad" sends chills down my spine! Who would possibly put themselves at such a risk other than someone who loves to live on the edge. There surely was a stunt man doing the spread. Did you notice the truck were backing up? That just makes it so much more chilling. Thanks for the adventure.
