Mr Peterdactyl, Do you get your suet at the pet store? or from another source

Bushtits apparently like suet.

Steller's jay, Colorado Springs. I almost never see them, but this fall the front range drought has brought them down to my peanuts, dog food, and water. Peter

Rediscovery of Sillem's Mountain Finch

"In early June 2012, Yann Muzika photographed many finches during a difficult trek in Yeniugou Valley in western Qinghai, China (1500km east of Kushku Maidan), including one he could not identify. In August, he sent a batch of photographs to Krys Kazmierczak, the maintainer of OrientalBirdImages.org, who immediately identified the mystery bird as the long-lost Sillem's Mountain Finch."

Oh thank you so very much Mr. Peterdactyl! Those are lovely pictures!
I bet the group will be amazed at how you caught the birds in flight and with food in their beak.
