Thank you Tony - love the penguin story and the information you gave us.

I have the movie "March of the Penguins". Anyone here see it?

It's great!

Melinda, love penguins. Did you know penguins are tracked from space? The rate of death/injury when they are tagged with a radio tracking device is too high, so some scientist figured out a way to track them through their splatt (spoor/droppings/feces) by satellite. Quite interesting work.

Oh Booklover that picture is too good! I'm taking that for my collection for sure! So wonderful to start the day with lovely pictures! Many thanks for that! Smiles!
It's raining here today. How's everyone's weekend going?

Ok - a Rock Dove then (it's the name for homing Pigeon) - I put one below for you.

I see Rock Doves too - mostly in parks. Sometimes they will come to the feeders here at the house. They are beautiful!

Are they White-winged Doves or Mourning Doves Patricia?

Here's a picture of a White-winged Dove below.

I love Doves and I see them in the yard all the time. I love their song.

I get both of them here. Lovely birds.

Here's a Mourning Dove below.

How big was that grasshopper, Idaho Spud, that you mistook it for a bird?

Aww! Thanks, booklover. That's a keeper.
