There's a robot that prints out and burns every tweet of Donald tRump's, then tweets that video as a reply, "I burned your tweet."

"@burnedyourtweet - giving Trump's tweets the attention they deserve"

"Donald Trump is being trolled by a disobedient robot on Twitter" (The Telegraph)

Now that Senate and House Republicans have repealed the FCC's internet privacy protections, and opened the door to ISPs selling our browsing and search histories to the highest bidders --

Any recommendations about VPNs? Tor? Other ways to protect ourselves?

(Please reply in that discussion. Thanks!)

I've actually seen something similar on the web a couple of times, when a website's bare-bones "page not found" Error 404 page says that the server also encountered a 404 error looking for the [intended, customizable] "page not found" page!

Hmm, I haven't run into that issue.  It must be some sort of detection triggered by posting identical or nearly-identical comments in different groups.  I think I've done that maybe once or twice, posting something in only two different groups to which it was appropriate.  My discussion about the Dresden Files books was one of those, I remember.

Lately AN has been sometimes asking me to complete captchas before posting comments or replies. (Maybe because I've been posting "too much", or reposting virtually identical comments in order to fix misteaks.)

In addition to checking "I'm not a robot", it'll ask "select the pictures with storefronts" or some such... which reminded me of this:

Angry cheetah: “It said Select all the food. So I clicked the cheezburger, the hotdog and the puppy. Now I’m a robot? THIS WEBSITE IS GAMED, MAN, GAMED!”(from cheezburger.com: "I mean, since when is salad food?")

Walking on a pool full of oobleck! Thanks for sharing that!

(An annoyance I also have with lots of documentaries and science shows: they just had to indulge in the fad of throwing in gratuitous time-warps, slowing down bits, returning to normal speed, sometimes reversing and replaying a fraction of a second, all to make it seem even more exciting. Stop messing with our orienting reflex!)

Walking on water - almost - sort of.

Fun entropy song! I can't figure out how he managed to move his mouth to the opposite time.
