I love the proof, the cell cake, and the practical use of thermodynamics!

That proof reminded me of a classic proof that uses algebra to show that 1=2:

Let a = b = 1.

a = b

a2 = ab

a2 - b2 = ab - b2

(a+b)(a-b) = (a-b)b

(a+b)(a-b) = b(a-b)

a+b = b

2 = 1

QED (Quite Easily Done)

(Yes, there's a flaw in the reasoning there!)

That is a cake - (see pic below) made into a cell. Very cool. I could teach my students with this cake cell model.
